Window A/C Help...
Ok, so I've got this window A/C unit. It was free, and it works GREAT. The problem is that it works TOO good. It has two speeds. Off, and artic freaking cold. There is no thermostat. It is a Kenmore, made in 05/95, 5000 BTU for a 140sqft +/- room. Would it be possible to add a thermostat to this or some type of timer to where it would kick on every hour for a few mins or something?
Hey cheap azz...since you dont want to get a new one and I doubt you want to use the duct tape trick..although it does work..LOL, try one of these. Cheap and easy to use so you should be able to figure it out.

Well I can't get the link to work. Just go to Home depot.com, type "timer" in the search box and it will come up. It's $10.99.

Are you asking Vader??
If not, then I think Zach is talking about his room at college. I suggested the timer, but on second thought, he could prolly just snuggle up with a blanket and his room mate and keep out of the cold that way

I was asking Zaairman. Man, I suck at posting on this forum lately. I guess it's time to take a little vacation and give it a break.

May I suggest the clothing method? When you are in the cold room, and it gets too cold, put on a sweatshirt. Better too cold than too hot.. always.
BREW and Jamz... are you suggesting there is another site on the internet other than ford.com and f150online.com?

Yep, but it's a secret.
