T-T-T-TWO f-150's??
T-T-T-TWO f-150's??
Alright, great site BTW!!
We just traded my '04 Dodge 3500 quadcab longbox cummins... In for an 06 Lariat screw 4x2. Aside from the check engine light it thew at me (causing me to burn almost an entire tank in 200 miles), This is by far the best truck Ive ever owned (this is my first Ford, Ive now owned a truck from all of the big 3).. every time I drive it, I like it more and more.
The wife likes it as well..... she wants one for herself. She is pregnant now, and is thinking it may be better for the baby (easier to get him in and out, maybe safer). She is driving our 06 Charger R/T at the moment...
Am I crazy, or is it just weird to have 2 of the same truck...?
We are a GOOD amount upside down in the Charger, (we were as well on my Dodge trade) but with 72 mos 0% through Ford... its almost tempting.
While I'm not a fan of the Charger, there's nothing wrong with it as a family car. I tote my little ones around in my F-150 all the time. You've got to climb into the rear seat area to buckle them in, so I don't see it as being easier to get in or out of in that sense. I also doubt there's a safety issue either. You made a decision to get the Charger and I'd stick with it. You already took a bath on the other truck. You want to do it again?
My neighbor and his wife are retired.
He has two F150s (99 & 95)
they also have a 2000 Expedition
and a Surburban not sure the year.
and a Chrysler minivan a few years old.
All titled and registered, he is cleaning at least two every weekend.
Two drivers, retired, five big vehicles.
He doesn't trade-in but he doesn't sell either.
My father-in-law has three trucks and fifteen cars and has garage space for all eighteen. That is the only reason he stopped buying, no cover. Now, when he eyes something and has to have it, he has to give something up.

With that out of the way, I think 2 F1 fiddy's would look nice in any drive way.
I wish I could convince the wife to get one. The sexiest thing on the planet is a woman in a full sized truck.

Welcome FlyBy, and if you can afford it then go for it, you don't want to get so far behind and be stuck with no-150.
as for the vehicle -
i love my truck so much i am seriously considering purchasing a new F150 for my wife. (she loves my truck too)
as for the financial implications -
i don't know your financial situation but vehicles are depreciating assets and should be driven into the ground before purchasing another. (i waited 16 years to get my f150). i wouldn't buy one for my wife for another 2-3 years even though i would like to get it right now. it wouldn't make good financial sense for me. you might want to think over the financials before you do it. my 2 cents.
