Of course during the summer it's normal to get rain adn stuff several times a week, but lately the weather has been crazy, especially the lightning. Every other afternoon when I'm at work we get a crazy storm, lightning is popping left and right. In the past 2 or 3 weeks there have been several reports on the news about people getting struck by lightning, it's getting pretty bad. Anyone else around the country experiencing stuff like this? El Nino perhaps?

 

No stuff like that but we are getting loads and loads of water and forecasters say there is more to come. :eek
We already got more than twice the amount what's normal for august.

July was extremely hot and dry here.
North Sea water temperature is 3 degrees C above normal and when the airtemperatures get lower the North Sea is dumping loads of water along the Westcoast here.
When it's raining, it's raining cats and dogs x2.

 

It's the driest summer since 1910 here and we've had record high temperatures several times in July and August. Fire danger is high, there are already 4 major fires in eastern Washington and no rain in the forecast. Very worrisome.

I've considered taking up rain dancing

 

Pretty nice here now, but as you know we had record temperatures also. And not too much rain either. Believe it or not, this summer girl is looking forward to fall.

Well, I do wish for some cooler weather but I don't think I'm ready to bust out the snowblower again just yet!!
