I heard an odd chirp and went to peek out of the window. I couldn't believe I saw a bird like this in my yard. I was looking for the camera, but couldn't find it because the wife had it. Definately not a native species here. Anyone else seen one of these in your yard?

Wife's cooking chicken right now, and I haven't seen that bird the rest of the day, I wonder............

 

Maybe it was a neighbor's pet African Peach Faced Love Bird. (Agapornis Roseicollis)


Too small to bother with cooking. Just eat it raw and whole.

 

Its a Love bird.

we used to have a pair years back as pets until the cat got a hold of them.

 

I figured it's face was red from bashing into the back of an Ohio Mountianeer.

 

Then the face of the bird should be brown?

Kind of sad thread really. It was started at 5:35pm EST on 8/20/06 and at this time it only has 99 hits…

Had mountaineer02V8 post this it would have had at least 900 + hits by now, oh well…

 

I'm kind of glad, If I had 900 posts like mittenear it'd mean I'd be getting bagged on pretty darn good.

 

It looks like a pet that got loose, or was released.
