Wow . . . arrest in JonBenet Ramsey Case . . .

Who'd have thought? I know I didn't.

Can you imagine the libel suits John Ramsey will file against every law enforcement office and every media outlet on the planet?

Maybe O.J. was innocent after all too?

(I may have to start writing my apology to O.J. soon).

uuuummmm . . . . NOT.

Complete with admission of guilt as well as DNA matching scene evidence. Good thing they work so efficiently.

It wasn't O.J. that killed JonBenet, was it?

No, wait, that's not right . . . .

Maybe this guy that killed JonBenet was also involved in the Simpson murder . . .

oh, wait, no . . . I'm so confused.

Anyone who actually bought the media's load about the parents were idiots anyways. There was DNA under her fingernails that DID NOT match up to her parents or anyone that was in the database at the time...

Took them long enough to get that one figured out. My faith in law enforcement is renewed

With all due respect, I would suggest we not jump to conclusions just yet.

From what I have read, rather a lot sadly, this dude has some severe problems, one of which may be that he would sacrifice himself as the murderer for some sort of satisfaction that the rest of us probably do not understand.

He apparently has been busted for child pornography and pretty much banned from his job as a teacher in several states and then flitted in and out of Thailand and Malaysia for several years, living in what I can only think of as sex hotels or the like.

Believe me, I hope it is him and if so he gets his just rewards but as a former Police Officer, not a hotshot Detective, I took confessions from lots of folks who just wanted to get their life overwith and who had surface knowledge of a crime or crimes that they knew were unsolved.

I hope the DA in Colorado that is handling the case now is more professional than the ones that had the case earlier and again, I hope this guy is the one but it has to be proven beyond a reasonable doubt..

The media told so much, there's very little that a wanna-be infamous killer wouldn't know. Not to mention the in-depth stories they have run.

I, along with many people, thought the Ramsey's were guilty- certain things just didn't add up:

1.) The Ransom note, asking for nearly the exact dollar amount they had in savings. ($118,000). Who asks for $118K? Most people would say, "I want $100,000 or your baby's dead!" or, I want 150,000, 250,000, 500,000, $1,000,000. Not $118,000... I mean, if you think about it, that's weird.

2.) She was found in the house supposedly searched by the family, in the basement... Let me tell you, if my baby was missing, I'd have been looking in the medicine cabinet, washer, dryer, all the pantries, the china cabinet, dog house, under the cars, in the cars, behind the hedges, on the roof... everywhere! How could she have not been seen? Unless the killer was still in the house (Him too, being unseen) and placed the body in the basement after it was searched...

3.) How could a would-be kidnapper get into the house, and not trip the alarms (without having been in the house before, and knowing what zones are not protected). Most people, even thouse in low-crime, well-to-do neighborhoods, have alarm systems installed... They come with the house, generally! Boulder is probably wealthier than Plano, and I'd bet 75% of the regular folks in Plano have an alarm on their house, and probably 97% of the wealthy folks, if not 100%.

Now, I never believed for an instant, that Jon Benet's Mom or Dad killed her, but I suspected that older brother. Yes I did. (Jealousy at all teh attention she was getting... Unbridled jealousy can be one hell of a motivator.)

I suspectd the killer was male because I remember them saying she was hit in the head with enough force to kill a 300 lb man. Only a male, or a woman with a hammer could have hit her that hard. I don't remember what they think she was hit with, if anything. But, if it was with anything harder than a hand, any of them could have done that. If it was hand to head contact, that was a man, or a woman on steriods. Today, I read she was beaten & strangled... So, I guess things are changing...

What kind of sick bastard would "beat" a child to death?

If the Ramsey's are innocent (and it seems they are), myself, and a lot of America owes them an apology. Too bad Patsy didn't live to see this day.

But, after 10 years, it surprises me that this clown pops up in Thailand, confessing his guilt... What? Is he dying or something, and wants to clear his conscious? Why would you sit on that for 10 years, if it was eating your guts? Why after having sat on it for 10 years, would you confess today? Something's up, and I think it's all gonna come out in the coming days... Dude must be HIV positive, born-again, injected with truth serum, or something. Something drastic happened for this dude to just tell on himself...

Something made him confess (If he's really the one who did it). I don't think it was an attack of morality.

I'm with Bill, I'm gonna watch this one out, to see what else comes up. Maybe this guy just wanted his 15 minutes... We'll see.
Just know this fellow, non-wealthy F150Online members...

If this had happened to our poor asses, we'd be hearing about this from the Day Room in the local prison.
It's good to have money, because if they didn't, they'd have been in jail since 1997.

Hersh:

You and I are not going to solve this thing and we can only hope the experts that now seem to be on the case can do it.

Personal opinion only, I am not at all sure that the guy they just arrested is the one. The DNA stuff they got off of some of the evidence apparently was also present in the same type of panties sold in the store where JonBenets panties were purchased which means someone who sewed them together perhaps.
As to the ransom note asking for what seems to have been the exact amount in the Ramsey's bank account, in that case I vote for the brother, not the mother or the father.

Do not take this the wrong way, but real life is a Soap Opera as I often tell my children and my employees.

Failing all else, this will be an interesting story and with all respect to the young girl, I hope we come to a real closing.

I also didn't believe it was the Ramsey's. In all appearances it seemed that they we extremely doting parents. Also, as Hersh mentioned, the amount of $118,000 was a giveaway. Someone who is young and naive would mention the exact amount that was in the Ramsey's bank account. To me, signs pointed to the older brother also. This new arrest is a little suspicious to me too. Guess we'll see what happens.

maybe confessing to the crime and living in American prison is better than serving time in a Thailand prison?

Not sure if I was clear so I'll say this . . .

That was my point. I watched the video of this guy, read some of the early reports about what he said and said to myself . . . no way. Not this guy.

Now after having seen more video and reading even more of his "confession" I am more convinced he didn't do it.

This is one "F'd" up puppy for sure, but I think he's either looking for attention, sacrificing himself for God only knows what . . . .

or, maybe he did it but . . . the look in his eyes and his demeanor are not that of someone who was hiding something. THe only way I would think he did it and can act this way is if he was so tormented beyond belief and this is just the ultimate relief for him . . . but I don't get that feeling.

Also heard on the radio on the way home that his ex-wife says he was with her in Alabama or some place and that he couldn't have done it . . .

We shall see. Going to be one long court case.

I have doubts this is the person who killed JonBenet. I always believed the Ramsey’s were covering something up, but we’ll see.

From an email Mr. Karr sent--

"I can only say that I can relate very well to children and the way they think and feel," he wrote. "I think you are asking if I am much a 'Peter Pan.' In many ways, the answer is yes. In other ways, I suppose it is no because I am trapped in a world that does not understand."

Did that sick F#%^ say Peter Pan? He believes he is “a Peter Pan”???

No you deranged excuse for a human, what you are, is someone who needs to have some experimentation carried out on their brain and then the corresponding “adjustments” made.

Perhaps you will have a chance to espouse your philosophical beliefs concerning children to your new friends in the jailhouse. They will wipe that leering smirk off your face, you Scumbag.

That is one strange person. Who knows if his story is true, but if the dna testing comes back positive, we'll have proof he's the killer and the press will eat this all up more than it is now.
