Just wanted to share (pic)

We went to the San Francisco Zoo last month, to escape the heat when it was like 115 up here in Sacramento. It was a GREAT day down there (75 degrees). I just wanted to share this pic. Don't know why. I just think it's absolutely adorable. ENJOY

Hahahaha He was trying to hide behind Brad to get out of the pic. HAHAHA Too slow Joe!

The bun is good. He's getting VERY cramped in there. I have 12 days of work before going out on leave, then I'm off for 5 months! WAHOOOOOOOOO!

HAHAHA Yea, it's a fricken party!

Actually Maternity Leave is only for 3 months, but I am taking my sabbatical too, so that adds an additional 2 months.

With that epidural they give the ladies now, you could squeeze a 25 lb. pumpkin out your ****, and you wouldn't know it...

My wife didn't want the epidural, havign heard some sob stories. She was hanging tough as the pain meter peaked so high, you couldn't see where it went to, then you'd see it come back down. She did well from 7:00 AM - 1:30 PM, but after nearly 7 hours of labor and no baby, and having run through the first two sets of pain meds, (Nubane, and something which she and the nurses agree, had no effect) she went with the epidural.

She was quite the soldier though, I was proud of her. Even through 7 hours of pain, not a single scream, grunt, or anything. Just some hard breaths. None of that BS you see on TV and in the movies, and none of what the lady in the next room was doing (I wanted to go smack her ****- scaring my wife like that...).

Military bearing... Hooah!

7 HOURS!!!!
That's some stamina now...

Dude.... I give up on a poop after 20 mins and that's with a good magazine!

My wife went 100% natural on the first one. No pain meds at all. After almost 24 hours she started wanting the meds, but doc said it was to late for epedoral (sp?) and she had hemridged (sp?) so they couldn't give anything that might thin her blood either. (she had already lost alot of blood as it was). Not alot of screaming, was alot of grunting and squeezing my hand. She bent my wedding ring into an oval around my finger, I had to put it "while on my hand" under teh heel of my boot and step on it to get it round enough to; first let blood flow again, and 2 get it off! She finished 100% natural though with not even a tylenol, asperin or anything. I have never been so proud of her and also amazed at the same time.

I know what you mean...

I thought sh e was gonna show-out for sure... This girl (my wife) complains for hours after a mosquito bite; so I'm thinking going in, "This is going to be some s***t." I am proud to say, I was very wrong.

Wow Hersh & Mag, you guys have some tough women there. I never went into labor with my first so I don't know what all of that is like. I was on Pitocin for 2 days though and that was NO fun, but yet I didn't scream.... I cried. 35 hours of non-stop drug induced contractions are no fun.

We will see what this little man has in store for mommy in a few weeks.
