Hersh - Saw this and thought of you . . .

Sorry, taken with camera on the phone and had to blow it up and try to open it up as it was buried in shadow . . . .

McLaren SLR. First time I've seen one in Black. There are a couple I see around town always in Silver.

These guys actually drive these things on the street. I'd be too scared to drive it in LA.

If I remember right, atleast at one time, they were uninsurable, no insurance company would take them, so to drive them on the street legally you had to put up a $500K state bond for insurance.

If you've got that kind of coin to buy it and still have enough to put up a half million dollar bond. WHO CARES! Drive it like you stole it!

You can't drive it like you stole it.

Look at the traffic going in the opposite direction. Bumper to bumper on a surface street. And it was that way too going in our direction only a few blocks up after this picture was taken.

Traffic is unbelievable here, on surface streets and on the freeways.

You can sit still in it like you stole it however.

Carjacking a car with lojack isn't very smart.

Good looking out Kobi!

Damn!

I thought Dallas had some rich SOB's... I don't think I've seen an SLR here, but I have seen 550 Maranello's, Diablo's, Bentley GT's, Aston Martin's, and Murciealago's.

Yawn. Dime a dozen.

Actually, these days I'm more fascinated when I see such things as:

Vegas
Pintos
Gremlins
Yugos

I saw a Buick Reatta the other day . . . don't see that often.

It's quite amazing to see any of those types of cars that totally sucked. If they are still running these days, THAT's really something!

Yeah, there are only a few dozen folks in this area who could afford a $500,000 car... Most are athletes, from the pro teams we have here (Stars, Cowboys, Rangers, Mavericks), billionaires, and a few very well-heeled businessmen & women. Not like LA, who has all of the same, plus A, B, C, & D list actors, **** stars, recording artists, models, and producers...

The San Fernando Valley is the **** capitol of the world! The tax revenue from that alone supports all of Lost Angeles.

Looks like an accident in the oncoming lane or at least a traffic stop. Looks like a couple LAPD cars just ahead with an officer standing near the shoulder.

As for the car, here in the sticks, unless he can do 150 on dirt roads there is no use for a car like that. Hell seeing any new car around here is exciting.

Sled...

Actually there was a crew shooting a movie. If you look closely you can make out a crane. Camera is at end of it.

Any location shoot "requires" lots-o-cops.
