I knew a guy selling Indi tickets, front seats by the fence right were Kahne crashed last week for $75. I so wanted to go but airfare was like $400 round trip.

This will be my first NASCAR race. I have no idea what to expect? I would imagine it will be a blast.

Has anybody here ever been to a NASCAR race??

Dude, I just woke up. Haven't even made coffee yet.

I'm afraid to ask what the standard is.

I took my son to our first race and it was at Talladega! Our driver won!!! I got the tickets from a co-worker who is on the "list". She wanted to keep her spot for the following year, but couldnt make it and sold them to me for $150.00 for the set. We sat straight across pit road! It was the most awesome feeling when the engines started. The seats shook, the roar, EVERYTHING, cant even begin to describe it! Have a great time!

A true experience.

I have been to two races at Dover.

I hated both. Steel benches for $75 a ticket (cheap btw)? Are you kidding. I want a seat. What happens when bubba sits down next to me and tips the scales at 400+?

Hey look...a left hand turn...oooooo...another...now repeat 400 times...

arghhh...

I'm pumped up about it. I went to the Molson Indy in Toronto a couple of times and loved it. We had wicked seats 3 rows back from the pits. You could smell the exhaust off the cars when they left the pits!

If you like NASCAR you'll like seeing it in person even more. Even though the higher you sit the higher the ticket price I prefer the lower seats. We sat in the high seats at Dover for one race and it was like watching it on tv. When you sit in the lower seats you get a more realistic view of how fast those cars are going. The smell of the hi-octane fuel and rubber is awesome! When they start those engines up the sound and the vibration will give you a rush. It goes right through ya. But you gotta be down low to feel the impact. One last thing. If you don't want your ears to bleed you better have some earplugs.

Arctic Cat F7 Aug 11, 2006 12:28 PM

Cool. I will bring some ear protection for sure. Is beer pretty cheap there or do they rip you off?
