asshat
1. One who has their head up their ***. Thus wearing their *** as a hat.

2. A person, of either gender, whose behavior displays such ignorance/obnoxiousness that you would like to make them wear their own *** as a hat.

Usage: "Can you believe that my boss is making me stay until 9 pm on a Friday!?" "What an asshat."

That is sooooo not me.

Naw, that one isn't you, too thin and is wearing a tie. Just because that one is not you does not mean you are not one.

"In the secondary lot, CBP officers discovered three undocumented migrants sewn into three seats of the conversion van, including the driver’s seat."

Question.

Ya'll know my job....I talk to many different businesses everyday about "the internet being down" .. anyway I always thank the customer for calling, blah, blah, blah....but when I have a Fire Dept, Military Base or Police Dept call in, I always end with a personal "Thank You" for their services.

I was told I shouldn't do that.

Hmmm, can anyone give me one (1) good reason "WHY" I shouldn't do that?

Maybe it looks like "special" treatment or whatever in your bosses eyes. However, it sounds like your boss is an "ASSHAT" and I would continue to do it.

You used "asshat" correctly.

Well, I'm gonna continue to do it. They deserve "special treatment" as far as I'm concerned.

Anyone else have anything?

This is just a guess but it might be because some of the departments you mentioned might have policies against accepting goods or services because of their jobs. Even something as simple as you saying an extra thank you could be viewed that you went the extra mile over what you would have done to fix the problem of somebody in an unrelated field of work and by saying the extra thank you it was to show that indeed you did do that. I know it's stupid but you'd be surprised how often that comes up. But it is very much appreciated when an extra thank you is given by a citizen recognizing the everyday sacrifices of first responders and military.

Stopped by the gas station at lunch. I knew my tire needed a little air. Tested the air first; didn't get a reading on my tire guage. Oops. Glad I stopped when I did. It looked fine, I sware.

This is a fun thread.

Ex girlfriend called me. She's engaged. I knew she left me for another man....
