Football's return for me is bitter sweet.

I love football but I hate to see Winter coming.

I hate both the Eagles and Raiders though and I have a hard time watching preseason unless it is the Ravens.

Yeah -- the return of the pro football season is always a big event. I just made my first payment for Direct TV's NFL Sunday Ticket last month, so once again this season I'm assured of being able to watch my beloved Minnesota Vikings every Sunday!

That being said, I don't know if there is anything more boring than the NFL preseason. Unless it's the last game of the preseason, I don't even generally make a point to watch the games -- just check the stats the next day in the paper.

That's funny, vader -- one of the best things to me about football season coming around again is that it means we'll soon be seeing that winter weather!

I go for the cooler weather myself. Just hate all the dang leaves I have to deal with.

I love Christmas and snow but the 33 degree dark cold rainy days suck.

Dark @ 4:00 is depressing. I'd ideally go through a normal Calendar through 2 weeks into January....skip the last half of Jan, all of Feb and March and move to April.

It's just nice to see Garcia suck for another team...so glad the Lions got rid of that waste of skin..

Other than that these games are mostly played by people hoping to make the team...other than the first few drives..

Oh boy, You know its not good when you leave inthe dark and have your outside garage light set for 5pm so you ll at lest have some sense of light when you get home. It does get down right bad. Ive told my wife at times I wish they had a pill I could take and wake up in march.

My favorite days are cold, drizzly, winter ones....

I love when it gets dark out early -- get a fire going in the fireplace, get some dinner cooking on the stove, kick back and read the paper on the couch....

Don't even get me going on snow at Christmas -- Texas Christmas' can be so disappointing some times....

Can anyone say "To-may-to" versus "To-mah-to"......
