Got some new shoes for the Camino...

Dad called me up the other night wanted to know if he could have the wheels back off the Camino for the '77 Sprint he recently bought. Said he bring over a set of turbines, and put on a new set of BFG's... Well, it didn't take long to say yes... I love the new look...

Now just imagine this paint job with those wheels, and that's what I hope to have one of these days...

BTW, that's my buddy's '78 F100 in the background. I'm babysitting it while he's on vacation. I was going to post some pix of it later...

Sweet Rides bro. Today I've been working on the gas tank and rear-axle of the 78 Trans Am.

That paint job is gonna' be sweet too. Ive actually wanted to do a paint job just like that on my truck. Black on top with factory Ford Dark Shadow Gray on the bottom, with a red or blue strip to separate.

I've always loved the bumper tail lights in that era of El Camino -- kind of remind me of the '68 Impala's.....

Sweet,

Here is my buddies 81 Explorer F100, this was our winter project two years ago. This is of the engine build and has a sound and video clip of the first fire up. Still had some tuning to do, timing was roughly in, and carb was in range.

81 Explorer, F100 build

Sorry the pictures are not in order. I slapped this page up so his brother could see it, at 10 o'clock at night after we'd worked everynight after work for a week to get it ready to drop in. This was a budget build.

I'll try to get some info/pix on it posted tomorrow... Its a real sweet truck. He's had it for around 14 years or so...

Thanks for the compliments. I try to mess with the Camino occasionally, but the misses keeps reminding me that its the Belvedere that has to be running in less than 2 months.

I just had to post one more pic. I love this one. I was over at a friend's house this evening taking some pix of his '67 Satellite for reference while assembling my Belvedere, and just snapped this shot while I was in the drive. Its MUCH better than the ones in my drive...

Oh, and here's a quick shot of his VERY VERY nice '67 Satellite that he bought new...

I love the guys who not only have a very nice old car, but who also have the history of having owned it since new!

Any idiot who just inherited a schmit-load of money from his old man can go out and (with more money than brains) buy an old classic, but it takes the true enthusiast to understand what he has in the first place and keep it for his own over all those years!
