I just get nervous around the houses. Good thing they have plexiglas windows!

I have the same problem. I think my issue is an "open club face"...or is it aclosed club face"?

But dang, the houses out there are along way from the fairways! If you ever get an invite to go play Woodhaven, refuse it or take out additional insurance.

I think the main problem with southern oaks is the houses come along after about 6 beers have gone down the hatch. Not that I drink beer when I golf, but I have seen my buddies do it. Beer isn't aiming fluid.

A slice is caused by an open club face, which can be caused by "coming over the top" of the ball with your swing or an incorrect grip, called a weak grip.

I have been fooling with my grip for some time and have pretty much fixed the slice-itis somewhat, compliments of the Golf channel. That course just makes me have to play it away from the houses more than say hidden creek with no houses. (I think that's still the name, it's been a while)

Yep, and I am working on that.

It's actually and intermittent slice. I can get a good straight drive about 50% of the time, and I don't feel like I'm doing anything different then when it does slice.

I have heard, to video tape your golf swing and review it to see what your doing different, but I haven't tried that yet. Guess I might need to.
