Pretty

I was going thru my camera deleting pix and forgot I had a bunch on the card.

I love Jacaranda Trees when they bloom (I call them "purple trees" becasue it's more fun). We were on this street and the whole street on each side had purple trees in bloom so I lifted my camera thru the sunroof and took this pic:

It's too bad the pix on the F150 gallery are so small. At full rez it's quite something.

The purple flower blooms only for a few weeks then falls off the tree . . . and God help you if your car or truck is under the tree and the folwers fall it as the flowers bleed a sticky substance that is hell to remove.

They usually bloom between spring and summer, but lately the weather has been so weird that around here they have bloomed and then rebloomed a couple times a year. We had a warm spell in Feb. and they went ballistic. These pix were taken in July when they bloomed again. Last year I remember them blooming about three times so I am sure when it cools down in fall they will be at it again.

They are so awesome.

Jacaranda trees are great! One of my favorites.

They do not do well in cold climates or any area that gets a freeze in winter.

It is an amazing pic regardless of how you were driving.

I thought the same thing, but realized it was Kobi that took the picture, so it isn't what it seems.

That is behind the car....where Kobi has been.

I just had to do it, cause you know someone was gonna ask, "What are you doing on the wrong side of the road?"

Looks like a nice neighborhood, with manicured yards, trimmed hedges, smooth road surface, nice drainage.... Then look to the right and there is 2 old beat up, looks like maybe 70's Dodge Power Wagons.
