wall cleaning ideas

I'm moving out of my current place and I need to do some cleaning before I leave. I can handle almost all of it, just by regular cleaning, however, there are some places on the wall where my 4 y/o drew with crayons. Any ideas, to remove the crayon markings? Soap and water doesn't work.

I was wondering if they really work or not. I was also told to try nail polish remover (which I think is a bad idea, don't want to remove the paint). And someone else said windex?!

I already offered to repaint the walls when I gave him my notice today. He said that it wasn't at all necessary. I have an awesome landlord and didn't want to move, but I needed to get my girls out of the school district we were in. He even reminded me that in the lease it states "normal wear and tear" in regards to the paint, carpet and cabinets. He said that it was "normal" for a 3-4 y/o to "decorate" the walls with their creativity.
