Anyone here work for the IRS?

If so then raise the reimbursement per mile for business travel!

http://www.irs.gov/newsroom/article/...151226,00.html

You did it last year for a temporary shoot up in prices of gas over $3, but then removed it when prices went back to $2.75. Well now they're back over $3...so hike it back up.

Besides I never say the amount double when the cost of gas doubled a couple years back.

This is nuts and I'm getting pissed off.

Your company can reimburse you any amount they want to, you will just have to pay tax on the amount that exceeds the IRS mandated amount.

Ah, but you do, just like all the rest of us who work. And Soc Sec, and the state, and the county, and the city.

Amen Duke... I haven't had to use mine much lately but, there are times where I use mine FREQUENTLY. Our company has this thought that they're doing us a favor by letting us 'make some money' by using our vehicles... what a freaking joke...

Yeah it's definitely a joke. I'm not making a dime...not even close to breaking even on just the price of gas, much less wear and tear on the vehicle.

It was even more a slap in the face when I was in Wisc over the weekend at a resort and the price of gas jumped to 3.29.
