God, Bless Honda's

My wife was in a bad accident on Monday afternoon. She was at an intersection turning and someone rear ended her at about 65, she was stopped. Broken leg and some air bag bruising but not bad considering what the car looks like . She is kind of shacken up still, they had to cut the car up so I would imagine it is a total loss, but I could give a rats behind about the car. I'm just glad she is still alive. I will not buy her anything but Honda's from here on out.

Glad to hear shes not that bad. Lost a friend about a year ago that way. He ended up breaking his neck when he flew back. My wife has a new Tahoe because I dont trust other drivers. And if shes not driving that its my screw thats it. Plus my 2 sons.

I used to work as a paramedic and I've seen many honda's involved in accidents. they are very strong. I saw one head on one time with a suburban and the sub had more front end damage I swear!! Glad she is OK!

Thanks guys!

I was surprised at how little damage to the inside there was (well, besides that its now a half convertable top due to the jaws of life).

Ahhh! the jaws of life. I used to love cutting roofs off with those back in the day! You are right, it's probably totaled after that application.

Stories like that give me a sick feeling in my gut. Im really glad to hear that everyone is ok. I had an 83 Civic that I lost the brakes on, I nailed the back of a school bus at about 30mph. The car was toast, I got away without a scratch.

Glad to hear your wife is ok. Any pictures of your Honda? What hit her from behind?

Seftey > Everything else

most people don't think about safty when buying a vehicle I know I didn't until I saw the old f150 frontal crash test pics compared to the new ones. I was glad I bought the newer body style after seeing that

No pictures of the Honda, Digi camera was the last itme I grabbed leaving the office. I should have a good broken leg cast pic in a few days Luckily no surgery just a fun cast for 8-10 weeks. She goes back in next week for that. She is loopy as hell right now

I 2nd the comments about the wife.

we are looking at getting the wife a new bigger vehicle as well. I could care less about gas prices. I pulled up in her car in front of my F150 and I looked squarely at teh Ford grill....

I thought wow...what if she gets hit....it really bumps up the need for a bigger truck.

Understandable. Wasn't expecting your first thoughts to be digital camera and pictures for F150Online.com. Just glad to see she is ok. I'd definitely consider any legal matter neccessary against the people who rear ended her to pay for the hospital costs and just in case (god forbid) there is any body damage that could show up later or internally. Just playing it safe.

Grab some pics of the car if you ever see it again.

Get pictures from the wrecking yard of the car. I was in an accident an because I took my own pics it proved in court that the person that hit me was speeding.

I happy to hear that your wife is OK ... I had some similar happen to me last year ... all I can say is make sure you have uninsured motorist coverage.
The jerk that slammed into the back of us only had a 15k/30k policy not enough to cover all the bills
Best Wishes J.T.
