You can dual boot but to natively run a PC app on the MAC OS will be a real accomplishment if it works well. I have my doubts.
third paty software out there already that can make it happen (and I'm not talking virtual os stuff), you open an app and you can run windows apps without windows OS
On the new intel Macs you can open Windows XP and run native (but it's still running Windows apps in Windows)
Run the Windows OS virtually (Parallels) (same as above but more limited)
Run windows apps without the OS (works, but not well enough).
You can't tell me Apple isn't working on this, or hasn't already figured out a way to do it. If made ready for prime-time, can you imagine. Microsoft would cease to exist overnight. That would be a good time to own Apple stock, become a multi-millionaire overnight.

Presently, Boot-Camp is "beta", and of course you have to buy a copy of Windows XP.
In the next release of OS-X (10.5) bootcamp will be built into the system.
From what I hear, it works fine. I've only played a little bit with it. Speed is great, works just like any other windows pc, it's just that the machine is more stylish.
(Which is really important, don't ya know).
Until I can build my own Mac I think I'll stick with Windows. I only spent $650 on my current computer (not including my $300 speakers) and 1/3 was a sound card since I do alot of recording/editing and almost the same on lots of RAM for my drafting programs. I know Macs are good for photo edititing and stuff like that but they don't make AutoCAD and similar programs for Mac yet.
