That's a good looking ring. I started to get titanium but I couldn't tell the difference in it and plastic.

I just liked the feel of the comfort fit white gold. I never wear mine to work anyway. I saw a guy jump off of a combine ladder one day and catch it on a peice of metal just up out of his reach. He was standing on his tippy toes waiting on somebody to get him down. So no ring for me at work.

I don't understand jewelry and I especially don't understand the fascination women have with rings.

Don't get me wrong, that's a nice ring you picked there Bill (or rather, that she picked). I especially like that it isn't flashy with some gigantic stone. That's a good thing.

Seeing women walking around with stones that require some sort of additional equipment to lessen the strain on their arms while carrying it around is just silly. The first thing I think of is "trashy" and the second thing I think is "I wonder what they are trying to compensate for?"

My GF and I were talking abut marriage and I said "There's no way I'm buying you some big gigantic ring. It's a simple band or nothing." This, of course, brought on hurt feelings and the reply, "Well, I at least would hope you'd want to buy me a nice ring. Not that I'd want it, but I'd at least like to think you would want to do that."

(I love traps like that) So I said, "Well, if you'd like to think that, then think that all you want. Don't let me stop you."

As you can imagine, ugliness ensued. So I finally called her bluff and said, "Fine. Let's go and pick out something nice and then you'll be happy, right?"

How about this?!?!?!:

"I don't want something like that, I just want to know you'd want to get me that."

Women. You can't live with them and you can't kill them and tell the neighbors she left to become a pole dancer in Las Vegas.

I completely agree......I was not to keen on doing the whole ring thing....but she has always wanted one of these rings...and sice she was not a fan of solitares....I figured why not.....you got to keep them happy......and since it is not what everyone else is getting.....I liked the idea even more......I like that it is different......

Speak for yourself; I would never restore a ride just to look at. Cars deserve to be driven.

For me it's simply a love of pretty things. I have 4 rings I wear all the time. My wedding set, a mothers ring, a Smoky Quartz and a Sapphire. I also have a total of 7 holes in my ears and about 300 pairs of earrings...8-10 wrist watches...10-15 bracelets...10-15 anklets and several toe rings.
