My buddy is gone
My buddy is gone
Some of you may remember me talking about my buddy a while back. He began a new journey at 4AM yesterday. He passed very quietly in his sleep with my wife an I at his side holding his hand. We spent the last 10 nights at his side while his family spent the days with him. We had long talks about anything and everything. Although it was sad to see him go, he promised to keep the tea-pot on for us. Bless his soul.
So long, friend and buddy, we'll see you later.

While I'm sorry to hear that your friend has passed on, at least he left this world knowing he would be missed. Everyone should be so lucky.

Sorry to hear your buddy is gone. You are a good friend.
Absolutely. Couldn't have said it better myself.

I'm sorry to hear of your lose. Take to heart that as has already been said, he's knows he'll be missed and that he's loved.
I feel that everytime you think about someone and have fond memories of them that they know and feel it.
Take care

God Bless You And Yours And His/Hers (sorry, I missed the first thread)
I thank you all very sincerely. And it was indeed an honour to be able to fulfill his last wishes. Today we went to the cemetery and checked out a spot for the back-hoe to dig in. I think he'll like it. Big spruce to the North, poplar to the West, 6,000' mountain range 2 miles to the South and open skies to the East.
His final 'retirement home', as he specified.
My Dad offered his truck with canopy to be the hearse. Walt would prefer that.
"Keep it simple", he said. He made all the arrangements for his own funeral, right down to when certain songs & music were to be played at the grave-side ceremony.
Again, thanks to everyone for the messages.
