It's not the worst truck out there. Are you guys forgeting the Titan. That thing is ugly along with the Ridgeline. I really like the new 2007 Avalanche though. I think it looks sharp.

ANd no, I don't think the Titan is ugly; except for those "extendo" mirrors...

I mean, you didn't think the 60 minutes girl looked good, and you think the Ford Winstar was a good-looking minivan...
Yes- I think you're on crack, or- going blind...
While I'll admit the Titan isn't as asthetically pleasing as the F-150, at the end of the day it's still a truck, a lot of truck- and not bad looking...
Aztek, yes- that's ugly... Both variants...
Ridgeline, got hit a few times with the ugly stick too.
Avalanche, (Previous gen) was slapped around with an ugly stick a time or two, too.
Titan, OK, maybe it did bump into the ugly tree a little bit, but not nearly as bad as the Alpha T (Concept Titan) did... I'd still drive the wheels off it...
To me the 1997 F150 set the styling standard.
Just like the 1976 Porche 930 with its whale tail and huge fender flares set the standard for the 911 body.
(But they've gone down hill ever since they womanized the body in the 90s)
I digress.
What did GM do with it's trucks once Ford grabbed the market? Oh they add some angles to the front end and tack on other meaningless garbage. (That's why after +20 years of GMs I switched to a F150)
Then we have the GM debacle of the Camaro/Firebird vs the Mustang.
And now we have the new GM trucks that set the standard...... for nothing.

However, I believe in giving credit where credit is due, and the truck that truly lifted the pick-up truck from the dirt roads, to Rodeo Drive, was the 1994 Dodge Ram...
That's the truck that sent everybody, and I do mean everybody, back to the drawing board. That is when trucks started getting really nice. More than just a lunch pail with seats and a steering wheel in it. That advancement spread across the entire truck market, not just the few "conversion" trucks (Mariah GT, Texas Stage Coach) that were out there. All trucks took a step up, and have only gotten better year after year... Even Toyota's T100 was a piece of shied.
Remember in 1991 when you could get the TOP OF THE LINE, GMC Sierra V8, extended cab, etc.. for $15,000... The top of the line GMC now (If you pay MSRP) will hit you for damn-near $50K.
That my friends, is evolution- even if nothing much (On the outside) has really changed...
