Or in a panic stop when you push on the wheel/stick out of reflex. Where does the vehicle go then.

I'm just the opposite. I often have images of the steering wheel being shoved thru my chest in a collosion, so I do not find it the least bit comforting. I also dont brace on it, that will break your hands and/or arms as well as hurt your back and neck.
If there is a chance of impact I imeditaly start repeating in my head.... relax...... relax....... breath......relax..... relax.... relax........

As far as steering and control, yea it's going to be different, your not going to beable to jump in and whip around like you use to, least til you learn how to handel it.

Who hasn't over steered atleast once with a standard steering wheel, who hasn't missed a pedal with thier foot. It can happen with any control system including the traditional system(s) we are use to. Just have to learn how to use it. I think that gamers and farmers will both have the upper hand on learning this easier.

Their are no foot pedals. so even the passenger could drive.

Good question..... I dont know! Hmmmmm

I can easily see a bunch od kids arguing over who was driving!
No officer I would never drive 100 mph in a school zone.......
