300 HP Focus

Why does Europe get all the hot siht, and the BS comes to the US...
We couldn't even keep the SVT Focus afloat here, let alone this 300 HP little monster.

I dunno, in the times of fast & furious teens, and $3.00/gallon gas. I think Ford could sell a few of these pocket-rockets...
I see a lot of $20,000+ Civic Si's around town, as well as WRX's...

This is the Wolf Concept- but, might I say, What a Concept!!"

I'd drive that if the price was right.

We got jipped with the US model Focus in more ways than just high performance models. The European market Focus is on a new chassis, based on a Volvo or Mazda I think. Our Focus isn't scheduled for a significant redesign for the next three or four years.

yeah, the new Focus (Europe) and the Mazda 3 (A sexy little car I'd like to have for a daily driver) are on the same chassis.

Something about that Mazda 3, says "BMW" to me. The stance on it is very aggressive for a small economy car. I'd bet with moderate tweaking, and a 3.0L duratec V6, coupled with either RWD or AWD, would make this an affordable option to a 3-series Bimmer, for the young person with $45,000 taste, but a $20,000 budget. Even a potent 4 banger (210 HP), with a properly geared tranny, and a sport tuned suspension might be hot too...

I think one reason, perhaps not the biggest, but one reason we don’t see these types of vehicles here from Ford is too much blind loyalty. You can’t really blame Ford for not changing when the vast majority of their blind customers prefer things just the way they are, and thus voice nothing but positive opinions when negative opinions are deserved or at least good constructive criticism…
