Digital Camera Problem...
ok camera experts..
vivitar vivicam 8400 8 mega pixels...
now why is it when i take indoor pics or close ups of about anything the pics come out great!!!
but if i try to take pics of my cars the chrome mouldings/grille come out with what i call a "sawtooth" effect...and power lines are just little dots instead of wires..
i thought it may be camera shake from holding it but nope..tripod with a 10 sec delay and its just the same thing no matter what i do over and over again...
sunlight/clowdy/dusk dont matter...
pics of the truck are fine...
anyone got any ideas??
...zap!

Probably mostly exposure time.... but the lens that Vivatar uses is not that good of quality glass either so it could be a permanent flaw.
I don't know that paticualar camera, assuming it's a point and shoot, there is probably a setting for inside, outside or night time shots.
Just play with the settings and it should work out.

You say the pictures have saw-tooth edges on some objects and power lines are dotted. Is this on the printed photo or on the camera monitor? If it's on the monitor, it's because your monitor has many fewer picels than the actual printed photo. In other words, the monitor has a lower quality than the printer.
If it's the photo, you may have to go to a higher dpi setting(picture quality) when you take the photo.
