Was that a Herd of Pigs??

Nope, its a Sounder of pigs! Who thinks these things up?? Some other strange names for animal groups:

Murder of Ravens/Crows but Crows are also known as a Clan, Hover, Parcel or Storytelling.
Congregation of Alligators.
Shrewdness or Troop of Apes (except Chimpanzees, they're a Cartload).
Battery of Barracuda (and Chickens too!! Weird) Chickens are also a Brood, Clutch, Flock, Parcel or Peep.
Sleuth or Sloth of bears (except Polar Bears which is a Pack).
Volery, Volley, Drift, Flight, Congregation, Dissimulation, Flock, Parcel or Rush of Birds (depending on what they are doing at the time!!).
Sute of Bloodhounds but just Hounds are a Mute, dogs and wolves are Packs, Coyotes are Packs or Bands and Foxes are a Leash!
And Buffalos move around in Gangs! (also a Herd, Obstinacy or troop).
Flight, Flutter, Kaleidoscope, Rabble or Rainbow of Butterflies.
Chowder of Cats (there are a few more for cats).
Intrusion of Cøckrøaches (that's an apt description!!).
Cows are not only a Herd but also a Flink (that's 12 cows) Dairy, Drove, Kine or Team.

Here are a few more.
