They do and not in a good way. Had one and got rid of it. Didn't come close to my Windtunnel as far as picking up the dirt.

I bought an Oreck for my wife (as well as myself) and it has been a great vacuum so far. It is extremely lightweight and that makes it less of a chore to get out. Of course, part of what makes it extremely lightweight is the fact that it has no built in onboard attachments. You have to either use the canister vacuum that comes with it, or utilize other methods to clean anything other than carpet. I bought one for my brother and his family as well and he seems to like it too.

I got my mom the Purple and Orange one for mothers day. It's a good vacuum. It sucks down to the carpet and pretty hard to push. You can really tell its working. It does a good job. You can pull the handle out and clean the fans and vents. Its real easy to use.

Red face

Before my divorce I had[LIST=1][*]a purple dyson. I thought it kicked but very well We used our junky dirt devel the first round and it picked up alot of dirt. The we took the new dyson out of the box and did the same area of carpet again and it picked up just as much as the dirt devel. I would recomend the dyson. I bought it off of ebay saved one hundred dollars over retail.

We have the Dyson DC 07 Animal (purple one) and love it. We have a dog and 3 kids. I am amazed at all of the stuff it pulls out of carpet. It also works great on tile and hardwood floors. We had a problem with a tear in the main hose that extends out and they replaced it for free, even though the vacuum was over 1 year old.

Here is the one that we have:

Dysons are not worth the outragous cost. The Hoover Savvy kicked it's *** in Consumer Reports test and cost 1/2 has much. Done deal. I love mine.
