Rusty response!

Yes, the trucks in Michigan so I do experience the winter conditions. However, previously owning a 95' Z-71 and a 99' Ram, neither of these trucks had any hint of rust, period! An 03' with this issue for me and certainly anyone who drops that kind of coin on a NEW truck should be less than satisfied... Ford's headquarters are IN Michigan, think they would know what to expect from a "worst case scenario". **** poor, bottom line! 3 150's in the work lot and we all have the same condition. Thanks for the responses guys.

Zaiirman, your a PUNK! Posted twice for obvious reasons, you figure it out, or not! Since I'll never have the pleasure of meeting your 18 year old clueless A$$ in person I'll just say this... Keyboards are a wonderful thing, NO accountability for your responses. Good luck in the future, you'll need it.

Trade it for another brand if you are unsatisfied with your purchase.

Didn't mean to imply the truck was junk, actually the opposite. Pardon me if that's how I came off. Trucks actually been wonderful, no issues whatsoever with the exception of the rust issue. Don't want to trade it due to the loss, I was just probing to see if any of you had similar problems. Thanks again...

I would say that if your local dealer is not giving you any satisfaction, try another dealer. If they give you the same answer as the first dealer, then maybe you can go to a local bodyshop and ask them what they would charge to repair the area.

Sounds like a better idea than waiting to see if the rust gets worse?

SVT - if you don't like it, then SELL YOUR FORD!! Congrats, you read my profile. I'm 18. Get over it. I'm not quite sure how old you are, but we at least know that you are smart enough to copy and paste. And guess what, my family owns two Fords, a Buick, and a Jeep. ALL have minor traces of rust around the bottom of the doors.

SVT-

While I understand your hacked off about your problem (honestly, I would be too), I'm going to have to ask that you not go down the personal attack path with ANY members here at the site. If you have a problem with something and feel that someone is attacking you, personally, you need to contact someone here at the site (like me or another moderator) with your concerns. Lashing out with name calling and such is something that I do not tolerate and never have.

Again, I understand your frustrations and certainly can relate to being adverse to someone who goes out of his/her way to undermine your cause but, I simply won't allow going after someone like you've done in your original post within this thread -- especially after your first post's tone and the fashion in which you promoted your cause (i.e. several cross posts).

So, in closing, please focus in on your problem and listening to suggestive advice rather than flying off the handle because of a stupid/immature response to your problem. It *is* a message board and thus, you're going to get a mixed bag of responses varying from totally useless to very helpful. I suggest that you focus in and use the advice on the latter end of that spectrum rather than attacking the other end -- in the message board realm, and especially here at f150online.com, it'll go much better for you and you'll find that people are MUCH more helpful.

Thanks for your time.
