It was probably either a partially albino or a diseased brown trout. Those pop up at Bennet Springs from the RT hatchery once in a while too.
Might be a Gar. It is native to the White River and has a dark head.

it was most definitely not a gar......it had the "nose" of a trout......I keep saying trout because it looked jsut like a trout....just not any species I have ever seen before.....now they do stock the White River....and it is possible that it is a mutated rainbow......

It colored up like Alligator gar. The picture sucks. That what I think it is. Anyone ever put a stick in an alligator gar's mouth? It will give you about a few seconds of entertainment before the stick comes out.
