A winch (for the others) and lockers (again, for the others) do wonders. It looks like you did fine, it was everybody else that needed the help. By the way, I like the background music.

The chevy snapped his front axle shaft u-joint, he was running d44's f+r and lockers f+r on 38" denman's pushed by a 454. You tell me what he did wrong, lol. Way too much for a little 44. I was laughing when I saw him walking back up the trial coming through the thick dust (from dirtbikers). He had the ujoints in his hand, I couldn't make it out and though he was bringing back a piece of his truck for memories...thought he rolled it down the hill up the trail. I had a good laugh thinking of the possibilities but realized it was a ujoint off his front axle.

Thanks though, I am probably going to have a winch in the near future (going to keep it hitch mounted...I know I know), hopefully a true-trac if I keep the truck too.

Too heavy on the "stupid" pedal and turning too sharply at the same time will bind an axle u-joint in a heartbeat...

I was sarcastic about the "You tell me what he did wrong" part, but you are right about that. The ujoints are not particularly strong on the 44 either, there are others you can purchase that are supposed to be indestructable and outrageously priced but I can't recall the manuf. He grabs jyard d44's all the time for a couple hundred. If you're going to use a 44 to push 38's with a big block, you need to build that 44 to take it. He's using bone stock 44's.

I think that looks like it was fun as he!!!

I had a 4X4 Toyota for a short time last year. I did that stuff a couple times with it. It had 215k on it when I bought it. Needless to say, it didn't hold up to the abuse for very long. Maybe some day I'l get another beater 4X4 and have some fun.
