Armless Man - This is Amazing - A Must See

http://ksdk.com/news/news_article.aspx?storyid=99805

Click on the video link... I just saw this story on the news here in BFE, Missouri...

This guy was born with no arms... he pitches for his softball team... ties fishing line... push mows the yard...

Really an inspiration to the human spirit in all seriousness... check it out.

Makes me wonder how'd he'd have turned out in todays touchy feely, society. I think it's a tribute to both him and his parents.

Let me know the next time you're driving home. And I'm at Lambert right now, waiting to board my flight to lax.

It's hard to read something like this, and then think about the silly little things we complain about in our everyday lives that we see as being so important.

This should help show us how significant our attitude (or lack thereof) can affect us in our own lives.

Don't know how he ties fishing line. I used to could see the little hole the line goes through in the fish hook, now I'm doing good to be able to see the box of line, spent way too many years sitting and staring at a 'puter monitor...LOL

There is a similiar story about a young guy named Kyle Maynard who was born "without" any legs or feet because of congenital deformities. He was on "Larry King" a few months ago. He played on his HS football team. A HS and college wrestler, motivational speaker, author, all kinds of stuff.

Look him up on the internet - it is an amazing story...

Makes our piddly little problems that get us all so upset seem not to be so important in comparison.

No matter how overwhelming our problems seem to us, there is someone out there with problems that they deal with that make ours seem inconsequential. No matter how bad we feel we "have it", there is someone else out there who "has it" worse.

We are all "Blessed" by God if we will just see and recognize those blessings. We all have talents and value if we will recognize and work to develop them...

You're probably flying as we speak...

I'll give you a yell one of these days -- we're actually winding this project down now so my travel times through the area will be decreased... I'll be at Lambert in about 4 hours... just in time to fly home and go to the office because EPA is being 'difficult' about an issue out here... everybody's tax dollars at work making my life crappy.

A good BBQ joint in St. Louis? Where? I'm always looking for good places to eat on the road, and in all honesty, have never had good BBQ in St. Louis!

As far as I was aware, the closest good BBQ to St. Louis was either in Kansas City or Memphis.....

I just had a man come to my church to deliver a message who had NO arms, and no legs. All he had was a little stubby thing he jokingly referred to as "the chicken leg" that he could could use to type or turn pages in a book.

The guy has a Masters degree, and a heart bigger than the state of California. It was amazing.

It was truly humbling to see someone in a circumstance like that telling me how much he loves God and is thankful for all he has. Wow, I felt like a jerk...

You're not a jerk, or you wouldn't have enough of a heart to feel like one, if that makes any sense.

Maybe we all can remember this the next time we could act like a jerk over something insignificant.

I for one, am counting my blessings, that I am healthy and all that, but sometimes "they" are "richer" than we are, and almost everytime I deal with someone in this kind of situation, they are usually a blessing to me more than I can ever do for, or be to them.

God knows what He is doing, whether we realize it or not.

Off I-44, Exit 225 in Sullivan MO, little shack called "Homer's BBQ." Look for the big sign that says R U READY? He's this old guy who has his recliner right in the middle of the dining room. To go to the bathroom, you must go through the kitchen. It's great. Be warned, he is only open three or four days a week, I know for sure Friday and Saturday, and maybe Thrusday or Sunday.
