For a bunch of people who blow themselves up daily, would it be a big deal for one of them to sacrafice this guy, and receive $5 million for further their terrorist activities?

True, but I think that it's an act of weakness to offer money, especially that much... It's like saying, hey we're incompetent, but we can pay for information. I understand that money talks, and any amount is worth it if it saves one American, or innocent, life. But I would have thought that by now we should have learned that we can make deals or bargain with terrorists. All of the deals and bargaining is what got them into power and armed in the first place. We gave them arms and training to fight the Soviet bear in the 80's, and now they turn that against us. Why would it be any different with 5 million dollars?

 

I see both sides of the coin on this one. I think the money offered is pocket change compared to what the terrorist network works off of. So, no, I don't think it would be a terrorist that would turn him in and use the money to further terrorist activity. It would be a non-terrorist.

But, I don't think that it's a good idea to offer money either. Because, just as fast as we've captured or killed these leaders.....they have just replaced them with someone just as or more sadistic as the one before them. So, in the end......we could very well pay billions of dollars toward this effort and still be fighting the same people. Possibly worse than what we removed. So the money could be simplified as a waste. But I do think we need to kill or capture those in power that have issued orders that have killed our boys and girls over there and anywhere for that matter.

So, I'm sort of torn on the issue. As you can see.

 

Its very hard to find quality leadership, when the leadership position is more of a death sentence then a promotion.

Thus, Only Morons will apply.....

I don't necessarily agree. Of course, I think they're ALL morons. But, most of the ones that replace the others have been with the previous leaders for many years. They have studied under them and learned their ways. So I definately don't think they're any easier to deal with.

Death sentence?? You do realize who we're talking about right? These people idolize death. They are martyrd by death. They become heros when they die for their cause. These aren't your everyday idiots stepping up to the plate....these are people with a dire need to become heros and further their cause by any means necessary...including suicide. Also, they see how long bin laden has been evading and probably all think they can do the same.

 

If all they wanted was to be was a martyr, then the solution would be simple.
Invite all would-be martyrs to a mass martyrization ceremony.

But they don't see that as a means to their goal. That is only one step to realizing their real goal.
Their real goal is to kill all non-muslims and dominate the world, so, to become a martyr of the cause is a just end in their eyes, but the more infidels they can take with them, the better it is for the cause. It's a numbers game.
Who can last the longest and will these extremists eventually run out of aspiring martyrs?? I think it means annihilation, at the least, for one belief.

The point I was trying to make is the fact that they aren't afraid of death. So that by no means is a reason that it's hard to fill the top spots after they have been removed. They don't fear death so it's not an issue.

Actually the terrorist “leaders” are the biggest wussies in the world and are more terrified of death then pork and that is really saying something.

If they “truly” did believe that by killing themselves they would be heroes and surrounding by hundreds of hookers, that they “think” are virgins, the ol’ Bin Laden wouldn’t be hiding in the mountains and would lead his troops into hookerville taking the first shot to the head while walking into the American military, or by coming to my house, walking in front of me with my shotgun…

Don’t believe the terrorist hype, they do not believe in death, they know there is no virgins left because they have all been used up and hook on the side for extra income.

It must take a pretty good "leader" to recruit these morons as suicude bombers (maybe their version of a "crash test dummy" ??? ). WHY don't the leaders lead "by example"???

Maybe it has something to do with wanting to qualify to get the 72 (or however many it is) young virgins. Maybe sacrificing someone for $$ might disqualify them from their eternal reward.

If these old farts deserve the virgins when they die, WHAT did the virgins do that was so bad that they deserve THEM!

This afternoon I had one of those "boom, baboom, boom, BOOM, BOOM" kinda vehicles pull up next to me at a traffic light. You know, the "$6,000 worth of audio in $600 worth of vehicle" kinda thing? When I looked over, all the inhabitants of the vehicle were fully dressed in traditional Muslim clothing...

See, everyone is missing what I'm saying. I'm not saying that the leaders just walk around trying to die. They do believe they will be martyred by death. But they believe that they need to stay alive and further their agenda as long as possible first. But, they aren't scared enough of death to NOT take a top leader position. That was the original statement that I was referencing.

 

The leadership of terrorist organizations are not nearly as likely to die for their cause as the nuts who strap a bomb to their person,
