It will take longer, but keep neosporen in it and a gauze bandage over it and change daily. Try to let it get air when you can. It will heal. it's just like a cut on the finger where it bends.

Thats nasty you freak.....

Damn bro, I agree, it doesn't look to good, but like everyone's said, it will heal in time and keep Neosporene on it...Hmmm, sound familiar

Most important, keep it clean and covered and stop bending over so much..LOL

Hey Brew, you are always telling him to stop bending over so much. Does it make you nervous or something? Just curious.

Keep it clean, irrigate it if it becomes dirty and drive on. Are you a man or a beauty queen? Scars add character and are nothing to be worried about IMO. If you are worried about infection, put neosporin in it, cover with gauze and tape, drive on. Change regularly.

Same thign happened to me, except mine was on my inner thigh... About the same size too...

My stitches weren't removed though, they popped loose. That'll get your attention buddy!

It eventually filled in, and left a dark patch of skin (darker than the rest of me, for you comedians); which took about a month to heal.

It probably woudl have healed faster, but I still had to do PT, and work- in BDU's, and the material touching it, only irritates it more. Keep it covered, keep neosporin on it, and every night after your shower, man-up and swipe some alcohol across it, and rebandage it... You won't get an infection if you do that... (Unless it's already infected).

Funny, when I was a kid, I used to think puss-sores were cool because you got a chance to put hydrogen peroxide on it, and it bubbled... No wonder my immune system keeps me from utilizing my sick days! Like George Carlin said, I avoid no viruses, or sick people! Now, when a virus gets in my body, my system is so strong, the virus is immediately surround, killed, and dropped into the colon for ejection into the toilet.

I believe I can fix it in exchange for a few gallons of Old Crow.

I was in medical school before the "incident"
