I love it. It has aged well and now makes my favorite cup of coffee.
I'll be upset when it goes but with nothing more than a power button it could outlast me.
Drink On!

Drink On!Yup. same with this coffee maker. All it has is one button, that big bed one at the base.
You turn it on and it turns itself off. It doesn't get any simpler than that.
I like simplicity. These days everything is designed to incorporate as much into it as can possibly crammed into it. I've seen a refrigerator that has a tv monitor built into one of the doors and it gets internet access. What is the point of that? Cell phones that do everything (except get good cell reception) . . . I just wanted a phone. I didn't need a coffee maker that told the time, accessed the internet, had a self timer, and gave you stock market quotes . . .
One button, one function. Such is the way life should be.
Bed Bath and beyond is the first place we thought of too.
We have that big coupon someplace.
The unit only lasts about 3-4 years for us. We chuck it and save the carafe in case we break one.
I have two Mr Coffee carafes and one brAun carafe up in the cabinet.
Now I'll have four, soon I will rule the World.

The auto-off sounds like a great feature...fancy fang-dangled equipment....
I'm constantly tempted hours after my last cup to grab what's left. If the coffee is hot I tend to try and drink it long after it has past its prime. I like coffee but dang that is some rough stuff.

I'm up at 5:15am.
I come downstairs in my underwear and pour.
The mixin and calculatin has got to be done the night before.
I am not capable at that hour of doing much except keeping my underwear up.
Maybe there a timer that plugs into the wall and the appliance plugs the timer?

Drink On!Please tell me it's not this pot!?!?
Very nice Raoul!
I like it.
It's got all your bases covered, including your shorts.
One question though.
Can you trust a coffeemaker maker who equips their machine with a "weak brew" option? Who in the world drinks weak coffee?
(OK, that's two questions. My bad.)

That was my terminology.
It has 'Normal' for a full pot
and 'slow' for less than 5 cups, so the <5 cup pot and 12 cup pot would taste the same.
Why is the manufacturer standard a 5 oz cup anyway?
I don't own any cups that are 5 oz.
I can get about 6.5 real cups out of a 12 cup coffee maker.
Who could live with a little 4 cup machine?
That's like two cups, what's up with that?
(Not to mention my underwear would tip it over)
