FWIW -- I removed the front license plate bracket from my '05 F-150 and the wife's '05 Escape and have had no problem whatsoever with the law. My guess is that they probably wouldn't bother with you unless you're being pulled over for something else and they want to "pile on" a little bit.

When I place my order for a new Mustang GT, one of the stipulations I will have in my contract is that the dealer MUST NOT INSTALL A FRONT LICENSE PLATE BRACKET ON THE CAR! In my opinion, nothing "mucks up" the appearance of the front end of a nice vehicle more than a clunky, plastic bracket that has been haphazardly drilled into the face of your bumper!

X3

I have bee n running around without my front plate for about a year now (knock on wood), and I haven't had any trouble yet....not to mention i have been pulled over once.

I got pulled over once for the lone reason mine wasn't on. I had it in the car and got off because my record is clean and made up an excuse why it wasn't on.

I was issued two so I guess I am going to stick with two. I appreciate all the feed back. Just another way for the state to create revenue.
