House M.D. question ...

I am new to House. I just started watching it the other night....I know I am behind, but I saw the last season finale where he gets his leg "fixed" so to speak, BUT.....I have a question about House's bum leg.

How did he mess it up, and what is wrong with it? In the episode I watched Tuesday night, his ex-wife (the hospital lawyer, right?) mentioned that she feels guilty for his bum leg. I know he is popping vicodin for pain so it must be some kind of nerver damage, I dunno?

Anyone wanna help me out here? I know you watch it vader.

He had some sort of blockage in the leg. The tissue died or was dying and House was unconscious. His ex-wife's decision to save the leg by operating left the muscle and nerves essentially destroyed leaving him with a limp and pain.

Some here will have a better medical explanation but that is the essence of it.

That works for me. I also would like to know what caused the blockage? the reason I am asking is cause I think I'm hooked on this show.

Jamz -

Do yourself a big favor and buy the first season on DVD.

Absolutely awesome show. Especially the last two episodes of season one. Actually the last three or four are awesome. Heck, the whole season was awesome.

(Warning though; even thought the show is done in HD, the morons at Universal post made the DVDs 4x3 letterbox)(also the first half of the first season had a different DP and does not look as good. After Roy Wagner took over the DP duties, the show looked awesome all the time.)

Watch the entire season in order, don't immediately jump to the last two shows.

Hugh Laurie is amazing, and I've never seen any other Brit actor do an American accent so well.

he also plays the father in the "Stuart Little" movies. Quite a difference between saccarine sweet Mr. Little and abrasive Dr. House

Really shows his range as an actor.

Don't be impatient my friend

Vader has the essence of what happened, but doesn't have it totally right. I could give you all the details, but it's better to watch the season.

By the time you get thru the first 20 episodes you'll be blown away.

When you watch episode 21 "Three Stories" you'll be truly blown away (please people, if you have seen it, don't spoil it for him)

and episode 22 is classic House.

The first season also does well in establishing the ducklings characters (Foreman, Cameron, and Chase) as well as Cuddy's character.

The last two episodes of season two were also amazing, and we could go into depth about what the hallucination(s) actually meant, but it's best if you watch the entire first season for character development to make what happened at the end of season two relevant.

Black Adder was great. I watch House here and there, but it is always on when I'm not around.

I got hooked on House this season since I was hooked on American Idol for the first time ever. I Tivo all of the episodes.

I am also blown away at what a great actor Hugh Laurie really is. He does do a flawless American accent. Some parts of the show are really about him as a person, the whole motorcycle thing, Hugh Laurie loves motorcycles in real life and I noticed how they built that in to the show.

I've got my mom, sister, and the rest of the family hooked on it now. It's the best show on TV by far. It also uses some of the best music I've heard on TV.

My two favorite episodes so far are "All In" and "Autopsy" but I have't seen all of season one or two.
