when i sell my current truck in about 4 years I'm gonna buy a 06+ F350 or Ram 3500. IMO they are the best looking trucks and the best powered diesels for your buck. In addition I know several people with both of them and have had nothing but good things to say about them, and they use them for work and towing insane loads all the time, totally stock. Oh, and did I mention the fact that they are solid front axel? Never again will I get an IFS truck, too hard/expensive to lift.

If the new "colorado" and that montrosity of a silverado are hints of things to come from chevy, i think you're gonna see a huge decline in their sales. You shouldn't buy a truck purely on looks, but you may as well get one that doesn't look as stupid as that new silverado.

I'm on 37's and I'd be willing to bet I'll take your Titan buddy with my mods, you just need to put a little more into your truck other than appearance mods. I'd be surprised if he could pull on me with intake, custom tuner, exhaust, removed cats, e-fans, etc.
I do have a Volant, flows, and an edge...his was stock. The Titans do have custom tuning available.

They do not have custom tuning as far as I know (talking about the blackbox?). They have I think a Jet chip and a Unichip, the uni produces 4rwhp, I have dyno graphs to back this up. Go figure.

Yeah, I got them on Friday. Haven't had a chance to do anything with them yet. Everywhere around here was out of AZ Beige paint until I happened to find some yesterday. I'll try to get some pics of them unpainted when I get home and maybe I can start painting today, too.

Josiah dont get me wrong the f150's do have alot of power, but you just have to spend the money to get it. Yeah the Edge is a night and day difference between stock and modded! I would recommend everyone to buy either a edge chip, or a custom tunned programmer! I can smoke my buddy when we are rolling, its just when we take off from a stop is where i have my problems. I guess i will try him again and launch it on the go.

So no hard feeling right

Oh no worries here, I know these trucks take more than most to get what we're after (i've spent too much $ to deny it). I should be much quicker than I currently am with this amount of $ and mods but it doesn't make me a slug.

I know exactly where you are coming from, these 3.73's do nothing for me off the line. However, from a 35-40mph roll it drops a gear and pulls great. Because he has a 5 speed auto his peak performance is probably not the same as your 4 speed at whatever speed you pull best from if you're both on 35's, hopefully you get him (or at least keep up). Let us know how it goes and I hope you can make it to the Pismo meet.

Thumbs down

Back to the original subject, it's hideous. I thought the previous Ava/tek look was bad. Whoever said it looks like none of the body parts go together was dead on!! Before, it was just a non matching front end tacked on and made to fit. This new design is butt ugly!!,,,,98

Just like with the HHR and PT Cruiser, Chevy is several years behind with the swelled out fender look. Dodge got rid of it years ago.
