You're referring to the LOAC (Law Of Armed Conflict). Yes, it is a specific rule for warfare for the U.S. to follow. The folks we are fighting are not considered conventional combatants so therefore not subject to the Geneva Convention.

Much of the reason for the terrorist mindset is the fact that we didn't carry through with anything there in the past. They only respond to strength, if we show weakness and surrender then they will take advantage of it and attack us on our soil.

You cannot pull out of there. First, it would abandon those we gave our word to. No matter how hard it may seem back here for you all that read about it, we are stronger than them and we will win. Secondly, it gives the enemy the impression that we are a weak society without the strength to finish what we started. They will then move over to America and begin here. If we wont finish there, they'll believe we would eventually give up here too

All I know is that if I'm over there, there's no ****** way they take me alive! I'd rather die from a hail of bullets (and take a few of their dirty a$$e$ along with me) than from letting those filthy bastards go "Ginsu" on me!
