Thumbs up How awesome is this.......

Try and keep up with me...I'll try to keep this as simple as possible.

My wife and I have a few friends in the Dallas area (Arlington, TX) that she has been friends with for about 15 years. I have known them since we have been married (about 5 years). The friend she graduated high school with has heard about me since day one. Her name is Mary. Mary's sister's husband's name is Donnie (brother in law). He drives a truck. We all get along, and try to see each other as much as possible.

Now, Donnie has a partner that drives with him. They are on the road 4 days a week. They have been partners for a few years. They leave out of Dallas, go to New York, from New York they go to Los Angeles, and then back to Dallas. Basically, they live with each other in the cab of an 18 wheeler. Donnie's partner's name is Allan.

~ANYWAY~

Well on Memorial Day, our friends from Dallas all got together to have lunch before Donnie had to get on the road. Donnie's cell rang and it was his partner. They spoke for a few minutes and they hung up. Donnie's wife asked, "who was that", and Donnie said, "oh, that was just Messina". Mary (wife's high school friend) said, "Messina who"? Donnie said Allan Messina. This freaked Mary out. So she calls my wife.

At about this time, the wifey-pooh and I were on our way back from Terry's furniture with a new rocker glider we bought for her (WERE HAVING A BABY - WOO-HOO ! ! !) and her phone rings and it's Mary. If you have been trying to keep up, that's her friend from high school. She called to see what her dads name was...not her step dad, but her "real dad". My wife has never met her "real dad". Wife told her, and they discussed it for awhile.

Get this....Donnie's partner is my wife's long lost father.

Now, is that awesome or what?

to be continued......

I knew that was going to come up.

My wife's mother and father were young when she got pregnant. They were about 17 or 18. My wifes mother didn't know she was pregnant when they broke. They went there seperate ways and "MOM" didn't want him to know about it, so he didn't know for a long time. Also, she didn't want him to have anything to do with the baby (my wife).

Time went by and and MOM met someone else. They got married and she was raised by her step dad. My wife became the "long lost daughter that Allan never knew".

Donnie told us he talked about a daughter he never met all the time, and he thought of her all the time. He didn't abandon her (my wife), it just sorda happened. Both parents agree on this.

Okay so it was Mom who was the dirtbag. I don't care what the situation; a kid should know their father. Well unless he was currently in prision I guess. My dad is a lousy father and a driver as well; but I'm a better person for knowing the damn Texan.

I think that's awesome Jamz!

I wouldn't be too harsh on either parent as I know what types of events can happen that make for this scenario. Sometimes people just make bad judgement calls based on what they perceive as the right thing to do. It doesn't make them a dirtbag.

I went along with an ex-girlfriend who decided abortion was the answer. I will never get over that, especially now having kids and knowing how incredibly precious life is. So thank God that your mother-in-law didn't chose that road!

I hope your wife takes full advantage of the chance she now has to get to know him. The exact same circumstances are happening for my brother-in-law and his birth father. They met for the first time a week after he graduated high school, and it's been awesome for them both.

Seize the day!

Thanks everyone.

I will continue the story tomorrow...unless it gets slow here at work, and I get bored.

There's a little more to add to the story.

Truely is a small world, just proves that it's really hard to hide anything forever. Chances and odds are against you if you try.

Awesome story Jamz!
