Looked up wierd weather in TX, found a lot, but can't find ice in June...

Did find this though, but I'm telling ya; in Killeen/Ft. Hood that week, it broke 100- KCEN TV-6 out of Waco was all over it... "What kind of summer can we expect, with temps like this in February?" That was the same year & month we had a "mud storm" in which every car (or anything else that was outside) from Copperas Cove, TX to Temple, was "brown" from the rain, then it got so cold (20's) that the car washes closed, and you couldn't even clean your car!

February of 1996 - Vast extremes in temperature for a single month. Very cold arctic chill in the first few days, followed by record breaking heat of highs near 100 in the mid to late part of the late month. The month ended with a cold outbreak.
