Whew, I just got back from the dealer. I signed a new '06 F150 Lariat Scab with this stuff.
5.4, Auto, 3.73 limited slip, tow package, skid plates
6 disk cd changer w/ audiophile MP3, power adjustable pedals
center console shifter, overhead storage, power driver and passenger seats
deluxe heated mirror package (like I need that in Las Vegas )
power rear slider window
Smokestone exterior, tan leather interior
18" wheels

$31, 274 including tax, title & doc

They are bringing it in from Phoenix, hopefully by this Friday.

Planning 2.5 autospring spacers, K&N induction and a tuner then I will let the checkbook cool off for a bit, except for fuel cost!
Damn I an excited!

Very misleading post, I thought you were talking about the truck that you just purchased. Oh well.

Now that I have some time with my dodge, I admit Ford has a stronger frame, as well as front rear bumpers... fit and finish is a gazillion times better, dash is a hell of lot nicer, rack and pinion steering, I miss it.. Factory skid plates with Ford, better than Dodge...

My dodge was built in Mexico and fit and finish is really bad, dodge has no under coating under the cab, or underneath/inside the fenders...Ford audio is better with a base radio than Dodge ( I have a factory I pod hook up with the dodge )

Now were Ford falls flat is Hemi is way better engine hands down, The dodge tow package gives you a 750 CCA batt ( my ford had a 550CCA ) their is insulation for the battery and hood, Ford dose not have this, Dodge OEM tires are better than Fords, The oil cooler on the 5.7 is huge and comes with a extra electric fan with the tow package, Ford dose not and the carpet and interior fabric is better in the dodge as well as storage cubby holes, Ford has better cup holders ( XLT verse SLT ) but my dodge has three 12 volt power sources in a Reg cab...

Dodge is so easy to work on vers the Ford, spark plugs are close, oil change in the dodge 5.7 is easy ( dodge dose not have a fully boxed frame, ) Booth brands have Pro's and cons, I use to think they were all built the same, but Ford and dodge Trucks are as diff as night on day..

Now I prefer the dodge hands down, even with the above mention quirks, on paper Ford builds the better truck but from my experience it's all been hype and little substance.
