i really want a new stang. i wont be trading the truck or stang in on one though.

a guy at work just bought an 06. he has already put headers and H pipe on it, a tuner and drag radials. he is running mid 13's. he won the street class at the track. Oh he just ordered a pro charger for it. All this and the car only has 800 miles on it.

he had an Boss on order but they told him he needs to put 5K down now, 5k when its ordered and he will pay 15K over sticker. he said F-you and went and got the GT.

he asked me if i wanted his spot on the list. i thought about it, but i think 50K is too much for a mustang.

I don't plan to trade my F-150 anytime soon, but since I work for Nissan, then I suppose that I'd get a Titan. After some changes are made to the Titans, an '09 or '10 might not be too bad, but then again, the old inventory list that went around at work today almost had me thinking '06 when I saw the lease prices on a few crew cab 4x4 SE's.

We just got a couple manufacturer demo Shelbys in at work today and I would have to say THAT would be the car I would buy if/when I trade in my F-150/Focus.

Keeping the F150. Get it paid off and going for the Stang.

For me this is past tense. I traded in my Lightning in Feb. of '03 after a check of the plugs revealed that two of them were about to do their imitation of a space shuttle launch. (2002 Lightning)

Not wanting to become one of the Brotherhood of Plug Launchers of '02 Lightnings, and not wanting to constantly have to be retightening plugs (had to do it twice), I decided I had had enough of the L (it was my second), and trade it in on a different kind of L.

My baby the day after I got her. Looks brand new still, three years later. Only difference now is that the windows are blacked out and she has 18" Antera Wheels.

It's about as perfect as a vehicle can get.

Miss the Lightning though. Keeping the faith that they eventually will build a Gen III (not holding my breath) (although I gotta say that DC GC SRT8 that Rob got is sweet).

Speaking of steroid enhanced SUVs, if you look close, behind my car is another newly purchased vehicle, my ex-business partner's AMG G-Class. Total POS.

I also bought a Lexus this past January. It's an IS350. It has more horsepower than my 5.4L had! The wife has an F-150 now to pull her horse trailer, so we're still in the Ford family. Here's a pic.

F150? F150?

Crap! I knew I was forgetting something...

although, I've been driving Mom's '03 Edge this week while she's in Reno (for two weeks), and now I REALLY miss my F150... more so than the Stang...

I think if I buy another Ford it would probably be any year, gen I or II Lightning... although, it looks like we may buy the Edge of Ma this winter, so she can get a Sport Trac...

If I ever trade the Lightning (It's been good to me even with 500 rwhp on the stock block and tranny.), I won't be buying another Ford truck. The Lightning was a special circumstance. I'd rather have a new Chevy or Dodge than an F-"anything else".

With that said, the next vehicle I have my eye on is the upcoming Camaro, depending on price of course. The GT-500 is going to be a little pricier than I had hoped. (Vette territory.) I think the sides are a little too straight on the new mustang anyway. They should have went more with the coke bottle styling of old. There are a lot of nice rides out there now. It'll be hard to choose when the time comes around. Maybe a slightly used 'Vette.

For me, if I stay with a truck, it will be either a new F150 or a new F250 if I can afford it. If I go with a car, it would be a new Fusion.

If, and thats a big IF the day comes, it will be for a F-350 Crew cab diesel shortbed 4x4. That or a ram with a cummins. It all depends on how the new 6.4 holds up and how the new cummins thats comming out holds up.

I will buy other cars here or there but I always need a full size truck in the stable.
