Yep, but you could escape the couch and would get to become a Texan. Besides, you might enjoy it more than he does.

The company name is MAXIMUS. Anyone know anything about them or have experience with them?

I had a simi-interview. I will have the real one at a later time.

The guy asked me a few basic questions, just to see if I was legit. I think they have been getting a lot of yo-yo's appling. They are seriously looking for call center experience the most. I have close to 10 years call center experience. So, that's not a problem.

He wants me to try for a manager position. Because of my experience and Military background. Plus, I have upheld a 95% quality assurance score all these years. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to work in a call center. They only have 2 openings for a manager. I turned down that position here, because they are salary and are worked like a stud mule. Eh, we'll see about that.

The only problem is...you'll start out as a temp for 30 days, 3 weeks of training included, and the starting pay is only 10. BUT, you get a raise to 12.50 after your hired on as a FT employee. That's just for a "tech". I dont know what the managers salary would be.

PROS and CONS:

~It's not much money.
~I would be taking a pay cut.
~I would actually have to pay for my cable TV and Data.
~I would be out of my "comfort zone".
~I will be starting all over.

~I live about 3 miles from the call center.
~I'll be saving money on gas and lunches.
~I will be able to spend more time with the family. (closer to home)
~With this new job, I have room for advancement.

What do you guys think?

Here's there website:

BTW....thanks everyone for your support/nice comments.
