FJ Cruzer

My dad got rid of the Tahoe and got a yellow Toyota FJ Crusier. I was wonder how good this thing was offroad? Its loaded with locking differential. The interior black with plastic floorboards. Very easy to cleanup. It more like something you see in a jeep. It drives real good. I'll try to post a picture of it soon. The dealership cleaned it up for us today.

Im sorry but I am going to have to say those things are unattractive. Not sure how well they perform. They just came out but I have seen some articles on their offroad performance

Stock it looks like it will be one hell of an off roader; it will only be moreso with some aftermarket wheels & tires.

Jeep & Hummer better watch out.

I like the retro look of the FJ Cruiser. If I was looking for a 2nd vehicle or if I wanted something a little smaller than my truck, I would probably strongly consider the FJ Cruiser.

They have one of those at the Ford dealer I applied at. I guess the used car manager went down to Toyota, and bought one over sticker and put it on the lot. In fact, I didn't see it today, I wonder if they sold it already?

How much did your dad pay & what trim level (arent there like 3 basic ones only?)
My dad managed to talk them down to like 32k i think. His has everything but the woofer that goes in back. Thanks for the post.
I think there only one trim level. The interior nothing fancy. Easy to keep clean.
My camera phone crap. It looks better in person. The hoods actually functional

I drove the FJ in attica, an offroad park in Indiana and that thing did better than I was expecting. It can handle some major rock climbing and does good in the mud. Very easy to move around. The only drawback is the rear differencial locking system. You have to punch the gas pedal until the computer figures that one or two wheels are not getting grip, then it will lock the differential.....honestly, when you are rock crawling, this is not the best way to go you might slip into a rock before you get the grip

Sounds like a torque sensing LS, manipulated with the brake. Torsen?

Do all of them have the white top? I don't know if there is an all white available or not,
just noticed a few of the yellow/white top ones driving around town.

Nice. I like the looks of them, the front is nicely done to match the old FJ's.

I really like these things and wouldn't mind owning one at all. I actually saw a black one with a white roof, kinda looked like a police car. I'd have to buy one like that and throw some rotators and a siren on it
