You are way to young to jack your life up like this. Get out of that situation & fast & get yourself some new friends. You may want to consider re-evaluating the situation with the GF as well. No matter what the testosterone guys tell you, DON'T go back after the guy. You will end up in a closed casket if you take that route.

If you are as put together as the email you sent me several months ago suggested, you seem like a smart guy. Don't let this event define what you do with yourself, rise above it and move on.

Well said.

And yes, I am serious. San Diego is beautiful man...bit pricey, but beautiful. I myself go to two different JCs...so I can get you settled if you want help. Hit me up

Well when will I be old enough to The cops had Jake yesterday, called my friend who happened to be with me on a trip to Chico to visit some Chico state friends and they needed us to pick him out of a lineup. Unfortunately we were too far to turn back so this Thursday they're calling him back in. Called Mike and asked him to go in there and pick him out...of course he wouldn't. He said he'd do anything but that for me, he won't rat. I was heated at the moment and threw countless names at him, bs friends. I'm tired of this but I have no problem doing it myself, just need to wait until Thurs.

lol brew, I was there for a couple weeks and your weather was too ****ty! Only kidding, but I couldn't get my truck down there.

Lumadar, what are the names of the JC's and what is the rough cost per unit there, or per semester. Let me know.

Hope all this stuff works out for you. You got any future plans for the pilot thing?

My eyes are going to chit...really. I wore someones glasses and I clearly have less than 20/20 vision, have some nearsightedness but not too bad. If it comes into question I'll have laser eye surgery no problem. My flight instructor was put in the hospital and we haven't talked since. I'm really eager to start back up and might go with another pilot. I'm going to pm you about it KC, just give me a minute in the Cali sun.

I actually have to go to the clinic for this allergy attack tomorrow. I'll ask them about getting laser surgery before you enter the USAF. I'm pretty sure they want you to get it done after you enter.

Will this put your position in any kind of jeopardy? Are they trying to transfer you to Travis AFB? I wonder if it's grounds for a discharge, you have to travel and be in good health I'm always told but it seems like it's the first time it has happened to you. I hope it's something small, and let me know about the laser eye. That would be great if they'd help pay. I know if you have asthma and have it expunged from your record by not going to the doctor for it, you can complain about it once you're in there and they'll help you out. Otherwise it's an automatic denial of enlistment (another pilot mentioned this).

Cuyamaca community College and Grossmont Community college. They are sister schools in the Grossmont college district. I think the campus is a lot nicer at Cuyamaca so I tend to take what I can there, but Grossmont isn't "bad" either.

If I remember correctly it is $27 per unit. So, for a semester taking 5 classes, including tuition, books, and parking you are looking at roughly $800-$1,000 (can vary a lot depdnding on book costs etc). Compare that to a state school and you pay 1.5x that JUST for tuition. eek.

If I asked to go to Travis, I'd have to get behind the 8 guys in my squadron who've been here longer than I have & want to transfer out there. It would probably take me 5 years to get there if I sincerely tried to do that. The beauty of my being a KC-10 FE is that unless you ask to move, the AF sorta "forgets" about you. There is one guy in my squadron who's been on McGuire in the KC-10 since the jet left Barksdale in 1994. He was on the KC-10 at Barksdale for 3 years before that. He was a KC-10 Crew Chief at Barksdale before that. He's been in for 19 years and has NEVER been on another airframe. The 10 has that affect on you, it's that good...

As far as the allergies, I think it's an isolated incident. I've been to Travis probably 25 times. This kind of thing has never happened to me in KA or anywhere else for that matter. The dudes I was smoking cigars with said that I looked like I'd been stung by a few hundred yellow jackets. You can get medically disqualified for allergies but I fully expect to be back on status tomorrow. I no longer have symptoms so it had to be something in KA. You also can get denied entry for asthma. I know a guy who was discharged after 11 years for getting it. I'll be alright. I'm having way to much fun to get out now.

Update: I was going to a country concert everyone in town goes to, love country so of course I was there. This guy lives on a street I pass by everyday and it's a very open street and not often traveled. I am only about a few turns from him, would take me less than a minute to end up at his house. He lives around the corner from 7/11-Chevron where I get my gas. I was going with about 6 or 7 other guys and they were in their lifted blazer with the top off, all of'em and myself and the lady in my truck. We are pulling out of 7/11 and I am in front, I hear someone from behind me yell something like "HEY J!" (my name). Turns out Jake was yelling to me in a white work Van with ladders on the roof and a trailer in tow, in there with his mom, his dad and himself. They are an f'in crackheaded family, the mom is twitching as she's yelling. The Van was behind the blazer. The street we turned onto is two lanes and the blazer pulls up next to me. I had my window down, the guys yell that's Jake behind me in the White van (I couldn't tell where it came from), I nodded. As we pull up to the stoplight Jake and his family are in the van yelling crap, Jake is getting out and has a bat in his hand (the chairs I was taking were blocking my view). I couldn't see the bat and they were like just follow us to my house. I did not say a word as I wanted to use this in court. I've since picked him out of a lineup and am going to see what I can do. I took off at the light and followed the blazer around the corner to his house.

When we got to the house I was on the phone with a dispatcher and everyone gets out of the blazer. The van sure enough blocks us in the court with his trailer attached. I told the dispatcher what was going on (didn't say anything about the bat as I couldn't see it but mentioned the history between him and I). He was yelling out his window random threats before we got to the stoplight and started to get out, the dispatcher didn't care and said I need to get a restraining order. I was fed up with the dispatcher, the officer had just got done telling me to let him know if anything happened yet they wouldn't do a thing about this. So we're sitting in the court and as soon as I pull around in the court to park the guys are already out of the blazer going up to his Van with his family still talking, thankfully they took off because the dispatcher could hear the idiots yelling back. Didn't ruin my day, even though he proceeded to call about 3-4 times once again threatening. I have those on video and saved on my phone. I also have the voicemail from him stating there is going to be problems if I were to keep accusing him of leaving messages. I think it'll do well in court, he voluntarily left that message, the others I recorded without him knowing.

I would gladly go up with this chump again if I was certain I'd walk away. Wonder how the court will handle this.

Please correct me if I have the facts wrong, but the orginal fight was one you went to of your own accord right? And it turned out to be more than you bargained for, and now you want the courts to protect you?

Sounds to me like you need to be protected from yourself as much as anyone else dude.

I apologize for being a little edgy when it comes to this subject, but it is an everyday thing and a large part of my day now. I worry about every car that pulls up, constantly checking the windows. I am watching my mirrors at every stoplight, just waiting for someone to hop out of that car. I look over my truck to check for damage everytime I leave. I just know the one time I do not look over my shoulder will be the time I regret it. It's easy for you to come on here and take 5 minutes out of your day to play Mother Theresa, but that bandwagon has been a longtime ridden..."you deserve what you got."...hah. Hopefully those of you who seem so excited I was beaten down this way will cross paths with him as well. It's a pretty f'ed up predicament getting the life beat out of you only to be told it's badge I've earned. I may be the sucker at this moment, but he'll have his day in court and I'll be there to see it through.

I had a lot more to lose if I didn't go to that park and only some of you understand that. And it has nothing to do with pride.

I don't think much of you right now, but dam dude you get threatened with foreign objects on a regular basis. Have you thought about getting a tazer or something to protect yourself. Get you a big can of pepper spray, like Dog the bounty hunter. If you get put in a bad situation you better be ready to protect yourself. Court not gonna help if you get whacked in the head with a bat. No one deserves to get whacked in the head with a pipe.

Hmmm, who could have predicted this last part????

I think I did in my very first post if you did what I told you not to. Of course you did so the dominos are now in place and falling just as I said they would.

I do forsee lots and lots more instances like this. Trust me dude, these guys dont care about going to jail, thier mentality is if they are going then they might as well make it worth while. Spend 1 day or 20 years, it's all the same for them. They'd rather be in prison for murder than in jail for a little weak harrassment and assault charge. I just don't think that you understand thier mentality, you just dont seem to know what your up against here.

I just hope you are lucky enough to avoid them before court and that it blows away before they get out, or that you are lucky enough to walk away hopefully with little to no long term damage if you can't avoid them.

You must be careful here, but careful isn't going to save you. Luck will, you need lots of it now.
