No more kids for us.

I had the big V surgery yesterday! It really was not that bad. A few small pinches to numb it up and he was done in about 15 minutes. I have to go back next Friday for a check-up and then go back a few times for them to check my "samples".

I laid around all of yesterday and used ice every 30 minutes. No swelling and no black and blue. They gave me a valium an hour before the surgery to calm me down, too.

For all of you guys whose wives are bugging them to get it done, it is not a big deal at all.

We have 3 kids and that is it for us. They are 5 yrs., 3 yrs. and 9 months. The older two are girls and the youngest is a boy. We had a boy now we are finished.

The front 3 are mine. The boy in the back is my nephew.

I had it done also about 15 years ago. It wasn't nearly as bad as I was expecting. About 20 minutes per side. No pain. Just a little discomfort.

Enjoy your kids now. They'll be grown before you know it and you'll wonder where the time went.

I'm glad my old lady had her tubes tied when she had the c-section. No snippidy-snip for me!

Cute kids, Flareside! Especially the little girl on the right -- what a sweetheart!

My wife and I had our first (and hopefully only) back in February of this year. I have been bugging her about getting my vasectomy since we got married over 10 years ago!

Hopefully she'll finally give me the "high sign" to get it done and my diaper days will be limited to this one go around!

That's what I thought. But it wasn't. I didn't use drugs or ice and I laid on the sofa 2 days. It was just a mild discomfort. 3rd day I was up and around back to my usual things but you had to be careful because the area was tender.

Don't get fixed for awhile. You may change your mind or god forbid something happen to your first. Don't rush into it.

It's really not bad at all. No 'kick in the nuts' feeling at all. The doctor was very good and was finished in literally 15 minutes. No swelling either. I did the ice thing 30 minutes off then 30 minutes off yesterday (had it done at 11:30AM yesterday) and just laid on the couch and watched TV all day. I am up and walking around today with no pain, just a little odd feeling.

I bought an athletic supporter from Bike that is like a pair of tight boxers and it keeps everything nice and snug.
