Uncle Sam
Here is a question..
Was Uncle Sam invented to get albe body Men to sign up for booth world wars, I'm refering a poster I saw once as a kid, I remeber a top Hat, stars and stripes and a long white beard and he was ponting directly at me..
Or was Uncle Sam a actual person? In the civil war, was he created by the union army?
A lot of Americans make referance to Uncle Sam and I don't why or if this is a symbolic symbol programed into the print media back the early 1900's.
I was poking arround couts ( Alberta, Montana boarder ) on the US side thier's a auto wrecker dealing in US. army surpluss equipment and this just got me thinking abought Uncle Sam..
