Talking The Scammers Are Here!!!

Ok, so I've listed a few things in the classifiedes, and one of the scammers has replied to one of the adds. He's already offering to send me a check and blah blah blah. I'm going to mess with him. What should I do? I was thinking of taking a dump in a box and sending it to him COD.

If it wasn't gonna land you in jail, I'd say send a cardboard box full of flour with a note, "Say HELLO to the plague!" or something like that.

Don't listen to me. Don't do that. Seriously.

Hahaha.

I would probably send them the part. After all if they are sending you a check, and you met them online, it has to be legit.

Wask, I guess you're not up to date on the scammers. They send you a "cashiers cheque", with instructions to cash it, keep your cost plus a fee for yourself, and then send the rest to the "agent" in the form of a Western Union money order. Then you wait for instructions from the "agent" who will come and pick it up.

I got one about year or so back. Called the secret service. They came in and said give us the info, we'll take care of it. They went somewhere (I don't remember where) to where the western union was to be sent and picked the guy up! It was for a car though, so it was like $7000. The dumbass sent me a cashiers check from a bank in VA in a fedex envelope from AL. The SS called me and said thanks, we got him

I got one for a car also a while ago, it was for $7000, and the check was from a bank in Florida. I forgot where it was mailed from though...

When you cash the "check" and send them a money order. It isn't a real check, but it does have real routing numbers on it or something like that, so you bank thinks it is real for the time being. There is a reason why you are supposed to send them the money RIGHT AWAY.

So it's a bad check?
I was wondering the same thing. Why not take the cashiers check, cash it, and then tell them to F off and keep ALL the money for yourself. A cashiers check is as good as cash. Unless it's fake.

It is a fake check, but it will clear the bank long enough for you to send them the immediate payment. Kind of like when you take your check to the work and cash it. They give you the cash right away, but it hasn't gone through the system yet.
