Packing as we speak for a 4-5 day trip to the mountains. Camping, fishing, shooting, 4x4ing,etc.

On a side note: Taking the wife this year....dear lord help me.

I pack a duffle bag of clothes, a tent, sleeping bag, fishing pole, gun, a cooler of food, and some misc stuff. My wife has my truck packed and she is still going. I must have 3 boxes of food, coolers, ice cream, unbelievable.

Meeting some friends at the lake, camping, racing our boats, tubing, knee boarding, skiing and going to try out my stand up jet ski I bought last winter. I've never rode one so hoping I don't end up in the hospital.

Then spend the nights telling jokes around the camp fire consuming to much beer.

Hmmm, weather permitting, I'll be. . .weed eating my entire yard because it's not level enough to mow and the grass is starting to take over. . .mixing some round-up to kill the dandelions growing in the driveway. . .planting some flowers in the beds. . .trimming a couple of out of control trees hanging over the driveway. . .etc. . .

Lots of time in the garage and working on the firebird. Have to mow the lawn. Having some friends over for a BBQ.

Damn. Packing and posting ...... Those are some impressive multi-tasking skills you have there.

For us:

The wife found ribs and brisket on sale for 69 cents a pound. So, I'm gonna be at the grill all day Saturday. It's supposed to rain Sunday and Monday so I better get the meat on the grill before that hits. If anyone happens to be in the Athens, TX area...give me a yell.

Dang! wish we were going to the farm, I would take you up on that. It has been over a year since we have been over there. You know where the Kidd Jones Station/store is on the right as you are going East out of Brownsboro? There is a Y right past there, you take the Y, then go to Rock Hill Road, the farm is back in therea couple of miles. You ever go to the little town just North of Brownsboro, Edom, there is a cafe there with great food. Has an awesome hamburger. Called The Pit, The Stop, or something like that.
