Sure. Hold the keyboard a little closer to the engine so I can see what's wrong.
We need more info. We know it's a six cylinder. Which one? And which year? 300 or 4.2? Usually when the oil filter blows up, the pressure relief valve in the oil pump is stuck. Or maybe you just got a defective filter.

That has to be one of the better ones I have seen. Goes right along with the blonde secretary putting her monitor on the photocopy machine screen side down so she can make copies of her Word document!

Did you actually see the split?? If so POST PICS!! If not, check that when you last changed it, you never left the old oil seal ring stuck on the mount. I've had that happen on more than one accassion.
