Cool.

I received a letter in the mail about the data being stolen about 3 weeks ago or so.

Glad they got the data back....they say it hasn't been tampered with, but who knows.

 

They also said that the employee did in fact have permission to bring his work home w/him..

"Newly discovered documents show that the VA analyst blamed for losing the laptop had received permission to work from home with data that included millions of Social Security numbers and other personal information on veterans and military personnel."

Weird...maybe this was a ploy for the VA to get more funding..
