Must be contagious...

My roomate bought a bronco and we spent the last two days fixin it up back here at the house since widener is now on summer break

It is a not too rough '92 Eddie Bauer, 351, E4OD, with shy of 200k. After a basic tuneup it runs real strong and shifts great.

Never have seen a trailer connection like this. Any ideas?

Eddie!

The seats were completely trashed so we bolted in my old ones from the 92 bronco.

Take a trip to the high tech "trailer towing accessories" department at any Wally World or automotive parts store and you will find a "4 pin female round" trailer plug, or you can also find an adapter for round to flat...

Might be easier to just wire in a new 4 wire flat plug and hang it unter the bumper, though...check out all the dirt and crap that accumulates in the plug, and you're better off just letting that one die a natural death. Since the hole is already in the bumper, just let the plug sit there.

I was thinking the same thing. What if you want to get the car out of the garage? You have to move like three other cars first just to get to it.

Geez -- looking at the dashboard shot of that old Bronco made me remember the crappy radios Ford put in those trucks! The ***** were so small and tedious that you had to take your eyes off the road for the minimum of a minute just to change the damn radio station!

Who says EVERYTHING was better in the good-old-days!

I'd pop that out and put in a 6 wire round in it's place. Then get a 6 rnd to 4wire flat adapter to carry in the console. It's just a hard plastic plug so no wires to get tangled. Then he can hook onto just about anything and not have a bunch of plugs and wires hanging out the back end. Matter of fact, that's how I have mine.
